OUR SUMMER ADVENTURES

I know, it's been an extremely long time since I last blogged, part of the reason is because I know my dearly beloved friends have ditched the blogging days and moved on to bigger and better things, like face book, which I have yet to get sucked into. The other reason is because we've had a crazy and fun summer and now its back to work, being busier then ever. I decided to upload some of the summer photos of our adventures. Lets just say that CJ and I took complete advantage of our summer off, to the extreme. After looking at the summer photos as a whole I know that we are truly blessed to have been able to experience so much. I got to see some great friends from good ole Abilene and spend some time together- Boston with Callahan, Tyrell & Krystal Henley, & Gubbels, New Mexico- Ashley Klein (Whittenberg), Berkley California with Katie Anderson (Mierhoff), Val & Meesh, Montana with Krumpols. I missed everyone so much!

Here it goes, a recap of our summer FUN!!!!
In June CJ and I participated in the worlds best race. It's called the Muddy Buddy and it's just as it sounds. You partner up to complete a 6.3 mile race of running, biking, obstacle courses and of course at the end, a giant Mud Pit. It was the BEST! We had a blast!

In June we also were able to travel to Boston and visit Matt Callahan. Tyrell, Krystal Henley and Dan Gubbels met us there and we had so much fun exploring the history of Boston & hanging out down town. It was just like old times. Never ending laughter!

At the end of June my family took a Mexican Cruise to Puerto Vallarta, where we swam with Dolphins (I'll post those pictures when I get them from my mom, just one word AMAZING!!!), We also went to Mazatlan, where we para-sailed, and to Cabo San Lucas where we rented these dune buggies. We had a blast racing through the mountains and on the sand dunes!

In July for my Friends Bachelorette Party we rented a house on the beach and went horse back riding. Also in July I got to hang out with Val, Meesh and Katie Mierhoff, now Anderson. We went to Sushi one night and bike riding across the Golden Gate Bridge. AWESOME! I'll post those pictures when Katie and Meesh send them to me.
Also in July we had a family reunion in New Mexico. It was great seeing all my family members I haven't seen in a while, These are just my immediate family members in this photo. I was also able to visit ASHLEY WHITTENBERG, now Klein. She is great and I am so excited for her and her new BABY!!!
At the end of July, I was so fortunate to get the opportunity to visit Heather Krumpols in Montana, that's right folks, in MONTANA. She was working there for the summer and by gosh it is my heaven on earth. I fell in love with it. I have never been so blown away by the beauty there is in one place. I had so much fun hiking with Krump and jumping in lakes with her. There are millions and millions of hiking trails and lakes all around, it was a dream come true for any outdoor junky like myself. Krumps is as wonderful as wonderful can be. If you know Krumpols then you know we had adventures, just a quick one- we went horseback riding at midnight after being at a small town country bar......, how we got to doing that, who knows, I leave the rest up to you, but that's Krumpols for ya. It was so cool! Montana will have to be a blog on it's own. (Horseback pictures to be posted when I get them)

July-This picture was taken after the Wharf to Wharf race on the coast. We ran it with a group of people and it was 6.3 miles. I'm so proud of my little bro who is in front of me in this pix, he kept up with me the entire time. We finished in 58 minutes and he has way smaller legs then me. Go Bro!
In August our friends tied the not and CJ and I got to walk down the aisle together again. It was neat being able to do it again since our wedding.

Also in August we went camping in Yosemite with a bunch of family and friends and enjoyed the great outdoors. CJ and I hiked Half Dome for the second time. This time we did 18 miles in 7 1/2 hours compared to the average of 12 hours! Big difference, and a lot of pain! No pain, no gain right! Its so worth it.

August-This was my fourth race this summer, but by far my hardest. I did my first
TRI-ATHALON, Half a mile swim, 11 mile bike and 3 mile run. I do a lot of swimming, running and biking all the time but the combination of the three is killer. It was worth it though and I'm excited to enter into another one soon!
